Alotau: Hagita show

Alotau is at the Eastern end of Papua New Guinea, and we found it constantly wet. The Hagita Cultural show happens every two years, and wandering around it feels a bit like a PNG version of the Sydney Royal Easter Show, or the Brisbane Exhibition (use your imagination). It is the capital of Milne Bay Province, and tribes come from outlying island groups like the Misima and Trobriand islands. People are pretty keen on keeping their cultures alive, so the dancers lined up are attired traditionally, while the kids spectating are in street wear.
